Mitchell Street House,

Brooklyn

This new house is located on a corner section at the top of a hill in Wellington, so privacy and shelter from the wind were some of our first priorities when designing. The house wraps around itself to create a sheltered courtyard, with an elevated bedroom wing to the south, to capture views of the city and harbour. The house is also engineered to 180% of the National Building Standard to withstand a 1:2500 earthquake event.

“We want to express our sincere gratitude to Sian, Michael and all the Reve team for the exceptional work that you have done for us in creating our amazing new home. Your attention to detail, while keeping the big picture in mind all the time, brought our dreams to fruition.

We came to you after discussing our project with multiple other companies, and looking back, we are very pleased and immensely relieved that we did. We are very impressed by your ability to listen, and guide where necessary to create something as unique as our minimalist, contemporary courtyard house. You managed the process from start to finish, and made the project as seamless as we could have ever hoped for.

We hope that you enjoyed working on our project just as much as we have.”
