Brougham Street Alterations

This beautiful existing Villa in Mt Victoria had retained a lot of its character, despite experiencing some ad-hoc alterations.

The project involved extensive alterations of the lean-to, creating an open plan kitchen and dining area, with full height glazing to capture the afternoon sun and connect to the courtyard. The addition intentionally contrasts with the existing house. The floor is a new concrete slab, windows and doors are aluminium, and the masonry block internal wall is also a structural bracing element.
